New Tunes Coming This Xmas

Hi folks - I've just split for Xmas and thought it would be a great opportunity to finish up some work in progress.

I have a couple of fresh tunes that I want to upload over the break - I have one ambient DnB number titled Chronic Psionic which will be the first to hit the web.

I'm experiencing some technical difficulties affecting the mp3 playback through the Reverb Nation player once this issue is resolved I'll tell you more about it here.

New Logo

Just to let you all know that I'm still alive and well, I'm fresh back from the USA with a fresh perspective.

Thanks to those I've been receiving messages from. It's awesome that people are stumbling upon my stuff and saying hi.

So I found myself gazing at my Reverb Nation page and realising that in place of my shady cartoon mug should be some form of bold brash logo designed to catch the eye, and look cool on tee-shirts ;)

After a spot of doodling in my sketch book the design you see now slapped proudly at the top of this page is the one I went with.

I hope you dig it.

Theme From Endo Meso

Theme From Endo Meso is something I've been sweating over for the past few weeks. It's not a theme to anything in particular, it just feels like it could be a theme to something, so why not my theme. I'd love to try and play this one live.

Theme is the first track I've unleashed that actually features myself playing the bass, it's a slight departure from my usual tone and more towards my funkier bass-player roots. On reflection I can hear Stevie Wonder, Curtis Mayfield and even Grace Jones beneath the surface, yet these were not obvious at the time of writing.

I hope it goes down well and welcome any feedback on it.

More tracks coming soon - I'm just putting the finishing touches to a couple of new tracks in Logic that I've been tinkering with for far too long. Such is the problem with being a one-man band without the pressure of a record company.
It's really hard to decide when something is finished when you can always add more.

Thanks to everyone for their kind support.

Fly-Tipping, my first tune in Logic

I'd describe Fly-Tipping as an acid stomp featuring a cat choir and a teleportation unit, but that's just me ;)

The tune is now on the Reverb Nation page for your ears to engage with, I'd love to know what you make of it.

This tune is my first play around with Logic Pro, I've crossed over to the Mac (slightly), my apologies to any PC purists now peering over their spectacles in disgust.

I got a new machine that gives me a lot more flexibility than I previously had. No more do I have to suffer the chuggy standstills my previous 'puter spat at me regularly.

I'm dragging over some unfinished work from the old PC to give the treatment to in Logic, expect more tunes up soon.

I hope you enjoy this one,
Endo>Meso.

Watch this space

I've been suffering some major computer strain at late, my PC is brought crushing to it's knees whenever I try to use it to write music. Leaving some tunes trapped in a state of slightly ready.

However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, a new system is on it's way. There's a few works in progress I intend to give the treatment as soon as I get the new box.

Watch this space for more.

Thanks to everyone that's given their support and have urged me to stick at it.

New Year - First Releases

It's New Years day and I'm in touch with a friend I was in a funky band with some years ago. He'd also turned his hand to computer assisted music and inspired me to get some tunes on the web.

I'd been sitting on some tunes I'd written that I'd only played to a few friends, who had given positive responses.
I decided I'd at least publish a few somewhere to see how they'd go down.

I'm hoping you will enjoy the few that you'll find posted here and if responses are good I will upload more.
